Dr. DalalAlSharhan is considered one of the most inspiring and encouraging personalities AlTujjar sees as an example. She's one of the pioneers in Architectural Lighting Design in the Middle East, she supervised the design and implementation of several residential and commercial projects in Kuwait and the Gulf Region. Although it’s a rare major, Dalal worked her best to succeed until she received her doctorate in it.

Dr. Dalal began to search for her passion when she graduated from university with a major in interior design in 2008, the time where the whole world was suffering from severe economic recession that led to unemployment and many other obstacles. Back then, Dalal moved towards event designing as an alternative plan, and this is where she found her interest in lightning as it was the main aspect that completed every design. Studying abroad was the next step Dalal took to excel in her passion for lightning, although the major was rare and hard, she spent 7 years exploring the Architectural and TheatreLighting Design.

According to Dr. Dalal, the values that helped in achieving her business goals were transparency, flexibility and her attention to details. She advises young entrepreneurs to be patient and persistent, as they are the two fundamental qualities that must be present in every businessperson in the business world.

Today, she is the co-founder and CEO of DAL Studio, the first independent lightning design firm in Kuwait, and a faculty member in the Department of Interior Design at the College of Basic Education at the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training. Dr. AlSharhan was also a member of the technical team of Kuwait Pavilion for Expo 2020 Dubai.
