Meet Esra Alhabib, Founder and Managing Director of Esra Alhabib Content & Brand Studio. Esra is a passionate entrepreneur who is driven by her innate passion for communication, public relations, marketing, and design. An artist and a musician herself, her journey started in college, where she studied design and also received her Bachelor’s in Public Relations and Communication. Hungry to learn more, she then pursued a Master’s degree in the same field. Esra landed her first job as a Public Relations intern during college, and worked on several branding projects. From there, she worked her way up the corporate ladder, taking on various Communication roles in global and local companies, and in different industries including Banking, Oil & Gas, and Advertising. Some of her previous job posts were: Marketing Analyst for Europe and Africa (Schulmberger, Paris), and Senior Manager of Corporate Communication (Gulf Bank, Kuwait City).

Nouf AlMayyal graduated from Kuwait University in the architecture field. Her values have grounded her as she incorporates them into her career, shaping her decisions and projects. Nouf has always been a crafty and creative individual, ever since her adolescent years she had been intrigued by the intangible world of Sims, where decorating a virtual space initiated her architectural journey. As the years passed, she moved away from the virtual world and followed her interests in building and decorating spaces in the real world.

Muhannad Al Shaheen

Muhannad AlShaheen is one of the creative and pioneering dealers in the field of interior design manufacturing. In 1999, he obtained his Bachelor's degree in Security Sciences and worked in the Ministry of Interior up to the rank of Colonel. From an early age, his interests had always been business as well as design, but as he became immersed into the world of interior design, he discovered his true passion was in imagining and articulating design and interior aesthetic. So he pursued what he was drawn to the most and studied interior design receiving a diploma in Interior Design from “Intituto Italiano Design - Perugia”. The encouragement Muhannad received from his family and friends was his real motivation which inspired him to combine both his passion and knowledge and apply them with confidence. But, being the person that he is, he made sure to do plenty of research before establishing his own business in order for him to understand all aspects of the market.

Comma - Rawan Al Kandari & Mariam Al Maghrebi

Comma is the leading copywriting agency based in Kuwait led by Rawan AlKandari and Mariam AlMaghrebi, earning the WinTrade Global Award for “Women in Business'' in 2021. One of Comma’s core values is believing in the power and influence of words to both the reader and the listener’s ears. Rawan AlKandari has made her transition from the academic world into the business world in 2017 where she began her journey freelancing for established brands in the UK. Upon returning to Kuwait in 2019, Comma grew and expanded even more, earning its position in the marketing field. Mariam AlMaghrebi soon became the co-founder of Comma in 2019, with a background in creative writing and literature, making her transition into the business world as well. Together, Rawan AlKandari and Mariam AlMaghrebi have a joint vision to elevate the marketing field in Kuwait through the appropriate usage of language in both Arabic and English. The word comma derives from the punctuation itself, but it also shares a meaning with something more profound, the letter waw in Arabic. In the Sufi belief, the letter waw “و” stands for connection and continuity, the curvature of the letter is almost identical to the comma, hence, the birth of the logo. Comma believes in connecting ideas to their words like a puzzle, breathing life into the simplest words and the most complex of concepts, making it meaningful to readers and entertaining to viewers.

Amani Al Thuwaini

Where culture and tradition is merged with art and design, we are met with Amani Al-Thuwaini, one of Al Tujjar’s most talented emerging business leaders. Amani Al-Thuwaini studied architecture at Kuwait University, and specialized in fine arts to obtain her master's degree from Goldsmiths University of London. From a young age, she expressed her creativity through creating artwork. She found her passion in drawing and was influenced by Soviet fairytales that were often full of intricate illustrations with themes of love and marriage. Amani is a daughter of a Ukrainian mother and a Kuwaiti father, and had spent her childhood in Ukraine before moving to Kuwait. The two cultures merged in the form of different works of art and design.

Essa Behbehani is one of the Kuwaiti national entrepreneurs that AlTujjar aspires to support. He’s anambitious, enthusiast, and an expert in turning personal passions into profitable businesses. He founded Choowy Goowy in 2004, and expanded it into a company with over 100 points of sale.

Ghaleya Al Dhafiri

We at AlTujjar are proud to have Ghaleya AlDhafiri, an architectural designer and the owner of Ghaleya AlDhafiri Interiors & Architects, as part of what our community stands for. Ghaleya AlDhafiri is a passionate individual with a vision and a goal to transform the architectural and creative scene in Kuwait. She completed 3 years of computer engineering degree in AUK and received her first bachelor’s degree from Catholic University. After that, she faced the fact that this might not be her career path. Ghaleya began to slowly shift her professional pursuits, having always loved the arts and found that her outlook is not as appreciated as it should be. Therefore, she switched universities and moved to Washington DC to start her studies once again. After completing her first semester, she discovered her passions lie in combining art and culture simultaneously to create a truly niche approach. In 2019, Ghaleya graduated from Howard University with a major in architecture in 2019, along with philosophy, history, Islamic studies, and Shari’a as her minor fields. Among her accomplishments is receiving an award from her university for Best Graduation Project, which presented a unique design for creating a railway system in Kuwait.

Nasser AlHumaidi

Nasser Al-Humaidi is what Kuwait as well as AlTujjarstands for, youthful and driven by his philosophies and work ethic. He is the co-owner of one of the most distinct financial projects, UPayments, an online payment service that helps end-usersnavigate through their payments with ease.

Dalal AlSharhan

Dr. Dalal Al Sharhan is considered one of the most inspiring and encouraging personalities AlTujjar sees as an example. She's one of the pioneers in Architectural Lighting Design in the Middle East, she supervised the design and implementation of several residential and commercial projects in Kuwait and the Gulf Region.

Anas Alomaim

Dr. Anas is an architect and owner of a jewelry design company, as well as a doctor in the Faculty of Architecture at Kuwait University. He believes that the future of the business world in Kuwait will be creative, renewed and successful. Dr. Anas Alo-Omaim, a figure who embodies the bright future of Kuwait, a source of inspiration, and a role model for young entrepreneurs.
