Upon studying Computer Science at GUST for 3 years, he then discovered that his main interest was marketing as well as computer science. That pushed Khalid to take the bold step of changing his college major a year before his graduation. Khalid worked while in college and was one of the first employees to join Ghaliah in 2011 for 6 years. In the first two years, he managed several social media accounts, before he began educating himself further on all matters relating to Digital Marketing.

 

While pursuing his studies, Khalid formed his Digital Marketing team within Ghaliah and managed the Online Trading Team, while he contributed to helping educate students in regards to the field. His job required him to train employees in Kuwait and abroad, such as Saudi Arabia and online courses remotely, this empowered him with a great deal of experience and allowed him to develop a deeper understanding of the world of Digital Marketing. After he graduated in 2014, he took a course in the UK that lasted a fews months which earned him the Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing from the Digital Marketing Institution. He then headed to New York to get a Google Certification after completing the course while still working with Ghaliah. The company became a Google Partner, the first Kuwaiti company to receive this accreditation.

 

Khalid left his job to start working with Light Fields, a mother company that owns Numou and Core. Light Fields specializes in providing healthy meal solutions, where he worked on its digital strategy and marketing plan. After freelancing with several companies, Khalid launched his agency, Retrodict, in 2019. Like in any personal project, Khalid faced many difficulties in the beginning and during his team employment process, as he found himself qualified for the demanding workforce, in addition to the negative impact of the Coronavirus pandemic on the financial situation of the agency. With the increasing number of agencies in Kuwait, the quality of the business has deteriorated significantly. Khalid continued to focus on his initial plan, Digital Marketing, which became an essential component of his business's success.
