We at Altujjar are proud to have Ghaleya AlDhafiri, an architectural designer and founder of Ghaleya AlDhafiri Interiors & Architects, as part of what our community stands for. Ghaleya is a passionate individual with a clear vision and ambition to contribute to and transform the architectural and creative landscape in Kuwait.
She began her academic journey in Computer Engineering at the American University of Kuwait, completing three years of study, and also obtained her first bachelor’s degree from the Catholic University. Over time, she recognized that this path did not fully align with her creative aspirations. With a deep-rooted passion for the arts and design, she made a decisive shift in her academic and professional direction.
Ghaleya relocated to Washington, D.C., to pursue her studies anew. After completing her first semester, she discovered her true calling lay in combining art, culture, and design into a distinctive and meaningful approach. In 2019, she graduated from Howard University with a degree in Architecture, along with minors in Philosophy, History, Islamic Studies, and Shari’a.
Among her notable achievements, she received an award for Best Graduation Project, which presented a visionary design for a proposed railway system in Kuwait.
